Rest In Peace dear Viksu. I named her "Giada De Gaia", jewel of the earth, since that is what she was for us. Her will to live, dispite hydrocephalus was enormour and every one who met her, fell in love with her. Viksu received a shunt that was donated by Tallinna's children's hospital and doctor Ranno Viitmaa and his team did amazing job trying to ease her symptoms, but unfortunately we lost her to complications after the surgery. Viksu gave us so much and will do so also in the future, since her DNA will be examined by Tallinn Children's hospital, by top vets in Estonia, as well as in Hannes Lohi's genetic researches, in order to find out more information about hydrocephalus. Thank you neurologist Ranno Viitmaa, Tallinnan Children's Hospital and all the other veterinary professionals who did so much for Viksu, some of them free of charge.
Please forgive me Viksu that I could not save you after all. We will miss you more than words can say, our little jewel.
